Munna Bhai MBBS (2003)

Trust Rajkumar Hirani to bring out an unusual theme and turn it into a no-nonsense entertainer with a message. Very few films can compete with the freshness and feel good nature of this film that tells the story of a goon who sets out to become a doctor in his own unique way. The film broke all conventions of making a Bollywood comedy film and connected with the audience on tangents beyond laughter. The lead characters – ‘Munna Bhai’ (Sanjay Dutt) and his side-kick ‘Circuit’ (Arshad Warsi), became instant icons and attributed greatly to the success of the film’s equally brilliant sequel, ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’.

Director – Rajkumar Hirani
