– “It should be noted that the degree was not presented at Encaenia (the large ceremony awarding multiple honorary degrees that takes place during the summer), but a smaller celebration. Our records indicate that Chaudhuri was the only person who received an honorary degree at that meeting of Congregation. I’m very sorry, but our records do not indicate why Chaudhuri was awarded his honorary degree at a ceremony separate to Encaenia.”
– “As is customary, the Public Orator gave a speech, in Latin, about Chaudhuri during this ceremony. A transcript of the Latin and an English paraphrase was published in the Gazette“
